“If music be the food of love, play on” – a line, famously quoted by William Shakespeare and if that is the case
with these three women, then Valentine’s Day should be celebrated every day. Mother Engelette Kruger, who plays the piano, is the brains behind this dynamic trio. Daughters Carine and Annie Kruger plays the flute and clarinet respectively.
Whatever the occasion, the Ad Lib trio will really liven up the mood by bringing a sense of nostalgia to brighten up even the most tedious atmosphere. They perform music from days gone by, such as Nat King Cole, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, to current hits of the modern era and classical music. Ad Lib is known for performing at wedding functions, churches, restaurants, academic institutions, corporate functions as well as private companies.
Depending on the client’s request, they also have the option of performing with other instruments for a different type of sound – for example the saxophone or strings. This is a good option to have, especially when different functions require different types of sound. The Kruger women are very much a force to be reckoned.
Their music is somewhat different from the norm and it is exactly because of that they are so very much in demand. Engelette teaches piano when she has the time. She also did post degree studies with the focus on transformative piano teaching. Look out for this musically talented family as they are sure to make their mark in the music industry.
